Why not jazz up your Secret Santa by trying out one of these variations this year with your colleagues, family or friends.
So standard Secret Santa is that you have names of all participants, set an amount to spend and then buy for your chosen one. The more humorous the better especially if you get someone that you aren’t that keen on you can be as rude and funny as you like and they are not the wiser that it was from you.
However, there are plenty more ways to play than just the standard one. How about trying Secret Casino Santa - with this one each person buys a gift for a specific amount not for anyone specifically. Alongside that each person put a specific amount of money into a pot. Random selection decides who goes first. Then the options are A Choose a gift B Do not choose a gift and go for money or C Put you name in to win all the unwanted gifts by those who went for Option B. At the end the gifts that were chosen are opened and the winner of the money and leftover gifts are drawn.
The other one that I really like the sound of trying is Conspiracy Santa…. In this version all the people playing engage in a ‘conspiracy’ all working together to select a gift for just one person without them having any input directly or knowledge and involvement. There can be a number of these done all at the same time for each person playing. Email threads are usually the way that this is managed until a gift is agreed for that person. This is a particularly fun one to do in the office.
Now to the sorts of gifts that always work well for Secret Santa whatever way you play….. For you colleagues in the office we offer a fantastic range of mugs to choose from. Some are nicer than others and there is bound to be one that you know would suit someone on the list that you want to please or offend.
